Restaurants & Bars within walking distance of Heinz Field
The Pittsburgh Steelers Heinz Field, aside from being www.thrillist.com’s 3rd favorite NFL stadium in the country, also offers a multitude of dining and drinking options, in all types of venues, well within walking distance (or a short ride if the weather’s inclement), and all less than a mile from Heinz Field. Here are just a few of them:
If you’re in a bit of an upscale mood, and not in the mood for traveling, the Rivers Casino is just to the west of the stadium. Within the Casino, you’ll find the club-like Drum Bar, as well as a handful of eating options, including Andrew’s Steak & Seafood and Wheelhouse Bar & Grill.
Or, head east from the stadium along Shore Drive, which takes you to an area of bars and restaurants serving both Heinz field and PNC Park, which is just a few blocks further to the east.
- Tequila Cowboy Bar & Grill – This is the newest location for the American honky tonk chain
- Southern Tier Brewing Co. – The Pittsburgh edition of this chain brewpub offers 30 taps pouring Southern Tier and Victory brews. Game Day menu limits the fair but ensures a reasonable delivery time.
- Burgatory – Hand dipped shakes and gourmet burgers, with a full bar and a pretty decent beer menu to boot
- Jerome Bettis’ Grille 36 – Voted Pittsburgh’s best sports restaurant yearly since opening, this is your classic American eatery and sports bar
- Rivertowne North Shore – A family-friendly rustic restaurant with American Eats, including pizza
- McFadden’s – A spacious & lively Irish pub where something’s always happening
- The Foundry Table & Tap –Locally owned with a locally sourced menu and a varied beer selection, including a number of sours and saisons.
If you don’t mind a little additional walking (or a quick ride-share), continue heading east and then around the front of PNC Park to federal street, where you’ll find a few more watering holes:
